Beaded jewellery with Julia Sewell

Have you ever wanted to have a go at jewellery making or beading? There are so many different techniques to choose from it can be difficult to know where to start. This short programme of stand alone workshops gives you the opportunity to try out different styles and techniques without the big financial outlay of buying equipment and materials. It is not always easy to know which aspect of the hobby you enjoy without having the chance to have a go, but this is a great way to try.

The programme is designed to teach you the basics across many different mediums. We will start with simple bead stringing, and using basic everyday jewellery tools to make simple and easy to wear items and gradually progress on to bead weaving and using polymer clay to create unique and individual pieces. Learn at a relaxed pace, with an emphasis on fun and creativity. It is a 3 hour session and you will learn how to make the individual leaves, these can be simply hung from a choker wire or ribbon for a statement piece.

You will also be provided with full written instructions for anything not completed at the time. The number of leaves you create is personal choice, so your item will be entirely bespoke.
